Morten Frost Høyum

Morten Frost Hoyum is a Norwegian Citizen and the founder and is CEO of Frost Innovation AS. He has more than 20 years’ experience from aquaculture business development. His experience ranging from managing R&D to production and branding of seafood. Morten lived and worked in Mozambique in the 1980ties as young Peacecorp participant.
Back from Africa he entered multilateral banking and project financing. His interest in aquaculture started in 1998 and formally as President and CEO of GenoMar AS in the year 2000 at the peak of the dotcom area and when huge expectation to the genome programmes were in focus. As CEO of GenoMar AS he was instrumental in securing the GIFT breeding platform and lifting it genetically to G24. Under his management the world’s biggest tilapia hatchery was designed, built and operated in Hainan. He was also responsible for negotiating sites, build and operate a 6000- ton integrated tilapia cage farm exporting to US and EU in Malaysia. He also negotiated R&D collaboration with Temasek Life Sciences and established R&D hatchery in Singapore. Over the last 8 years Frost Innovation AS has been active in developing integrated aquaculture project in Southeast Africa including a R&D facility in Mozambique.
